A Fan's Response
This is a fan who received the emails from Manny Klausner regarding upcoming 3MoTenors appearances. Here is her response to him and his response back. It is interesting to see that the response is purely propaganda in the truest form:
Please remove me from your e-mail list. I am a great fan of Cook, Dixon
and Young, and nothing will ever change that. If you all are that
great, there should be no need to try passing yourself off as someone
you are not. I did pass this on to Cook, Dixon and Young letting them
know what you all are up to.
Again, take my name off your mailing list, because I do not want to
hear from you!
Fan of Cook, Dixon and Young.
Here is Manny Klausner's response:
No problem, I'm sorry to have inconvenienced you.
I'm glad to hear that you are a fan of Cook, Dixon & Young.
But you are badly mistaken about "passing off." The concept, Three Mo'
Tenors, was originated by Marion Caffey, as an opportunity to showcase
the talent of yet-to-be discovered black tenors.
His vision is being realized by the tenors now performing in Three Mo'
Tenors.
As stated on Three Mo' Tenors' website:
THREE MO' TENORS showcases the extraordinary versatility of
African-American tenors. It starts with classical opera and goes on to
feature seven more musical styles that span four hundred years of music
- all in one entertaining evening.
THREE MO' TENORS is about more than just three men. It is a story about
the history and the future of exceptional Black tenors who deserve to be
heard.
Because of the intense vocal demands of the show, THREE MO' TENORS
features two equally outstanding casts taking the stage, three at a time
in alternating performances.
THREE MO' TENORS has already introduced eleven African-American tenors
to enthusiastic audiences - and as long as there are more undiscovered
Black tenors waiting in the wings, THREE MO' TENORS will be here to tell
their amazing story.

We are curious about the "yet-to-be discovered black tenors" - as Mr. Young was very well known in MANY artistic genres long before Mr. Caffey even knew him. And Mr. Young was approached by Mr. Caffey in the VERY first place. Perhaps this changed after Mr. Young brought his integrity and his reputation to this project and by doing so, validated it. Just something for thought...
